“Periodontal diseases, comprising gingivitis and periodontitis, are probably the most common disease of mankind”. (Guinness World Records)

What is the periodontal disease?

Periodontal disease is an inflammatory disorder caused by pathogenic oral microorganisms that can lead to the destruction of alveolar bone and connective tissues around the teeth.

Do you suffer from bad breath and gum bleeding?

If you leave these gum symptoms untreated, the infection may spread to the ligaments and bones below the gums, becoming periodontitis. The bacterial inflammation causes teeth to lose support. Eventually, the teeth will become loose and fall out. Sometimes the infection becomes so severe that it can cause a tooth abscess. This can be quite painful.

Aggressive periodontitis is a severe form of periodontitis. As in other forms of the disease, bacteria attach to teeth below the gum line. The toxins they release and the inflammation they cause damage the bone and soft tissue around them. In the aggressive form of the disease, this process occurs rapidly and people are particularly likely to lose teeth.

There is substantial evidence supporting the role of certain oral bacteria species in the onset and progression of periodontitis.

These pathogenic bacteria colonize the tooth surface, gingival margin and subgingival environment.

Porphyromonas gingivalis (1 & 2)  Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (3)

P. intermedia (1), Bacteroides forsythus (2), Treponema denticola (3), T. socranskii

“While there are some new antibiotics in development, none of them is expected to be effective against these highly antibiotic-resistant bacterias” (W.H.O.)

Ozonytron®: painless cold plasma therapy

Periodontal treatments with medical ozone.
A novel application technology allows the disinfection of all teeth and periodontal ligament in one treatment session within a few minutes. With the supporting medical ozone (so called “cold plasma”) therapy, even a serious infection caused by periodontitis can be treated effectively. Even aggressive periodontitis can be treated easier and faster with a regular plasma therapy.

Periodontic infections prophylaxis

We recommend one treatment every 4-6 months of so-called Advanced Dental Hygiene This kind of regular treatment is reliable prophylaxis of periodontal infection.
